Your goal in System Breakdown is to fight through waves of Soviet war machines as a Koschei super-soldier - cycle guns for ammo, finish enemies to heal, and use power-ups to break armor and charge Fury.
This beginner guide keeps to verified System Breakdown mechanics from Anarchy Creations and marked observed evidence. Exact stats, default keybind tables, and hidden unlock values are not yet verified.
Your Goal
System Breakdown puts you against Soviet war machines as Koschei Unit 2137, code-named Igor, an experimental soldier from the Koshei Program. Official story text frames the larger goal as impressing Big Brother and killing him.
The Soviet war machines, Koschei identity, and Big Brother goal are official. Mission-by-mission objectives are not yet verified.
The Core Loop

Switch between guns to gain ammunition.
Finish enemies
Use finisher moves to heal yourself.
Break armor
Use power-ups to destroy Clankers' armor.
Build Fury
Power-ups charge your Fury ultimate and better trial performance gives more resources.
Controls & Keybinds
An official complete default-keybind table is not yet published. Use the in-game settings and the official Steam build as the source of truth for current controls.
One review complains about shooting on RMB and reload/enemy-stun on LMB. That is observed feedback, not a confirmed full control layout.
Difficulty
The official August 3, 2026 FAQ says difficulty above the default unlocks after completing standard difficulty. Patch Notes 04 on August 20, 2026 say Easy mode is planned, but it has not been released as of August 21, 2026.
Beginner Tips
- Learn the finisher rhythm first, because finishers are the verified healing tool.
- Save power-ups for armored pressure when possible, because power-ups are the verified way to destroy Clankers' armor and charge Fury.
- Treat trial performance as progression, because better trial performance gives more resources for advanced weaponry and power-ups.
Core loop, difficulty, and world details are official; the RMB/LMB control note is observed community feedback.
Complete keybind tables, exact difficulty modifiers, and numeric beginner build advice are not yet verified.
